The design for Fable a popular neighborhood bistro is “storybook modern,” combining comfort with whimsy. Challenged with an awkward narrow walled-in storefront, CWDesign opened up the entry, created an open kitchen and counter, introduced couture lighting fixtures, and bold pops of color. The space unfolds to reveal a warm and cozy cabin style dining room accented by bright orange antler chandeliers, animal caricatures, and frosted glass fairytale mirrors. Fable’s backyard is shaping up to become the Castro neighborhood’s favorite secret garden.
